ABOUT US
Thank
you for considering a visit to North Lakes Community Church. We want you to
feel comfortable, so let us tell you what you can expect when you honor us with
a visit. We
are committed to the idea of "Restoration Christianity." It is our
desire to "restore" the New Testament church in our time. We attempt
to determine from the Bible what the church was like in the beginning and to be
like that original church as much as possible. We believe this is a worthy
goal. We
strive to be a stand-alone, Bible-centered church. We know our conclusions
aren't flawless, and that our practices are sometimes colored by habit,
preference, tradition or convenience. Even so, we hold the Bible as our only
guide in religious matters. The
worship will be led by a team of dedicated men and women. The music will
consist of contemporary congregational songs and special music performed by our
worship team. Our
Pastor will not be wearing any ecclesiastical vestments which set him apart.
The reason for this is our belief that all are equal in the church of God. He
prefers to be called by his first name. The message will last 20 to 30 minutes
and may be punctuated by video, music or drama. If
you visit, nothing will be required of you. You are welcome to participate, but
don't feel obligated to. Just observe, if that is your choice. We will ask you
to fill out an attendance card, if you are comfortable supplying the
information. This simply provides information so we can give you a free gift,
write to thank you for visiting and mail you our publication, Community
Communiqué. You
won't have to look very deep to find our failures. But, bottom-line, you will
find people who love Jesus and love living according to the Bible. We would
love for you to join us in our pursuit of Him and His Word this weekend. We
meet and worship together on Sunday morning at 10:30. Would you please join us? |
